Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 13, 2025

Thank you for choosing SakuraAIPlayer (hereinafter referred to as "the Software"). We highly value your privacy and security. This statement aims to clearly explain how the Software handles your information.

1. Basic Information

This Software is an AI-powered video player that provides local video processing and enhancement features. It is developed and operated by an independent developer.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect or Upload

We solemnly commit that the Software:

  • Does NOT read, collect, upload, or store any of your personal files or private data, including but not limited to:
  • Personal files on your device, such as photos, videos, and documents.
  • Your contacts, SMS messages, or call logs.
  • Your personally identifiable information (e.g., name, ID number, address).
  • Your device's unique identifiers (e.g., IMEI, MAC address, serial number).
  • Your browsing history, search records, or any other online activity data.

All video processing (e.g., super-resolution, frame interpolation, beauty enhancement, face swapping) is performed locally on your device (your local computer) using GPU acceleration. The related data never leaves your device.

3. How We Access the Network

The Software requires internet access in one specific scenario:

  • Subtitle Translation Feature: When you use the "Subtitle Translation" feature, the Software needs to send the subtitle text you have selected to a third-party Large Language Model (LLM) API service (e.g., OpenAI's GPT series or similar services) via the internet to obtain translation results.
  • Transmitted Content: Only the plain text subtitle content you specified for translation and the language instructions are sent. We do not attach any of your personally identifiable information or device information.
  • Third-Party Services: This feature is handled by third-party API providers. Their data processing is governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of the relevant API provider (e.g., OpenAI) to understand how they handle data.

4. Log Data

The Software may locally record anonymized diagnostic logs (e.g., feature usage, error reports). These logs are used solely for improving software performance and stability, contain no personally identifiable information, and are not automatically uploaded. You can choose whether to enable error reporting in the settings.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted by updating the statement within the Software or on the project page, along with the updated "Last Updated" date.

6. Contact Us
